Mick Bennetta attained his Nidan (2nd Dan) grade on Sunday 3rd October 2009 at the Shotokan of England Karate Unions Black and Brown Belt course, held at the Portchester Karate Clubs home dojo.
Mick has worked with great effort for the grading exam and his success was a very proud occassion for all at the club.
Following the exam Mick commented "It will be great to get back to regular training and just work to keep improving myself" In other words Getting his 2nd Dan was one thing but what Karate is all about is regular training, NOT grade hunting. Grade progression should be the natural result of consistent effort and regular training.
