The first Kata Focus class of 2016 was held on Sunday 3rd January with Gankakyu being the practiced kata. This is an advanced Kata in the Shotokan form of Karate. Despite the weather and closeness to the new year, the class was very well attended and the "in line" nature of the kata lent itself to a full dojo.
