*New* Day class Thursday mornings - Orange belt presentation. May 2017

Peter who started his Karate journey some five months ago and trains in the Thursday morning lesson was today presented with his 9th Kyu Orange belt. A small step for most, but for Peter its been rather more. Living in Gosport, Peter travels by bus to Portchester Dojo and used to need the support of a walking stick for the initial and final part of the journey. It was also needed quite frequetly during the lessons. However that has now all changed. Peters balance is vastly improved. True he has to take the occassional break and yes Kihon Kata has been slightly modified. (Something the Japanese Senseis frequently did to allow "all students" to have attainable targets). Peters comment today was "I couldnt of done it without the support of the "Dads Army" fellow students".
All of the clubs have similar stories to tell. The point of this story is that all the people, that we know are out there, secretly wanting to have a go. Really should take that first step. Most of your local clubs will make you very welcome!
